Week 17 Wrapping up

This has been a great experience to retake the class again.  I am very happy that I did.  I learned a lot more about social media and its various platforms.  Even though I use Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter on a daily basis, it is different when you're using these great platforms for business purposes.

I do feel I know more about social media for business. One of the key elements was using Google Analytics and also viewing Instagram, and Facebook analytics.  I started understanding more about the audience that was reading my content, their demographic, and their age group.

While researching other businesses, some really great takeaways were well-designed websites and great pictures that were posted to Facebook or Instagram.  It was also great to see big companies and how they would post different content on each social media platform. It let me know they understood their audience.   Some of the worst content either didn't have enough content or maybe did not respond to comments or even post for months at a time. This was a reminder to me, when I get ready for the business to be committed to all my social media platforms but also listen to the audience as well.

I have been doing some research on a few services to use for my business. However I will for the time being, just stick with posting to each platform. My goal is to stay within a budget until the business gets off the ground.  Going forward I will have a website built and work with web creators to assist me more with working solely online.  I

Looking over all the content for class, I believe everything was pretty much covered.  It's funny because next year everything on Social media may be totally different.   I really appreciate this class.

Week 16 Part A: Developing Your Marketing Strategy

The platform that I should’ve used for my business would’ve been Twitter, however, I didn’t open up a Twitter account For my much better but I think it would’ve worked out for it the better and I did set up a LinkedIn account either which would have work probably best for my customer service training business. Facebook is OK basically is there for you to post and you’re able to post A lot of content in one particular pose with baby a picture and it makes it more accessible to put videos in as well. However, I do think one of the tools that will be beneficial for Facebook.

I would set up Facebook customer service group chats for those who are trainers. I wouldn't set up no more than two of them, One group page would be set up for potential clients who may want to participate in my services. I would set up more group posts for those who may be seeking Employment and don’t have a lot of customer service skills, or soft skills.

I’ve also used Facebook scheduling, which I really like because it’s connected to Instagram. I haven’t done it for my own business but I have done it for my church's website and also with their Facebook social media pages. I’m the one who works on those things so it’s been very convenient to create posts and then have them scheduled so I don’t have to remember to do it daily.

One of the things that I really did enjoy was going through and researching websites of different companies, small and large seeing how they formulate their pages and also how they connect these pages to their social media sites. Basically able to see each business's aesthetics on their webpages, and then how they would use their social sites for different elements of their business. It gave me ideas on how some companies would use Instagram basically to show pictures of food or different products that they sell. Then, they would use Facebook more as a directory for their locations, hours of operation, and of course the view and opinions of the customers on their posts.

Learning about analytics and how vital they are in knowing if you truly are connecting with the public is such a great tool.  I didn't connect my Facebook page to google analytics but I did with my blog.  It was cool to see how many times someone actually viewed my blog if they left a comment,  how long the blog has been up, and if my status increased or decreased. This is a tool I will be using going forward for all my social sites.  This will help in finding out what posts were liked and those that people did a fly-by.

Since my future business is in customer service training and under a sole proprietorship, it's going to be vital for me to budget any type of advertising, and choose the right tools.

Week 15 Part B: What We Can Learn from Face Book Analytics

I didn't have enough followers on my Facebook business page. So, I decided to dabble in this research on how Apple has made changes to its privacy practices and how it has impacted Facebook's ability to share with its Business customers.  I have been working with Apple products for about 5  years now.  I have been concerned about Data and privacy only within the last year after hearing about how people have not been able to get into their phones, because they had been hijacked. People were able to get your personal information and you would not be able to get the iPhone or Ipad unlocked.  That is a big concern considering how much time is spent on social media especially Facebook and Instagram since they are tied in there together.  Now with META completely taking over the business pages, I think it is for the better. I am also in the Virtual World through META. They have recently updated the policies, where you have control of your data. Now interesting is when signing on to the Oculus into the META world it signs on to all your Facebook and Instagram accounts until you the client shuts them off or delete them from viewing.  It's also great that Apple lets the clients decide when and who to share their data with.
Something I just found out from the Apple.com newsroom, is that Safari has a great health app to keep trackers from getting your data info. ( note to self) I will start using Safari and get away from Google Chrome.

Oh, how I miss my Blackberry so much That phone and encryption still can't be hacked. ... and now Blackberry has become a cyber security cooperation... and to my surprise, there are Blackberry phones still out there.

Off subject.  The only issue I find with Apple's security is that the settings are not just for everything.  You will have to set the privacy on Facebook, Instagram on whatever apps you consistently are opening.

15 Part A: What We Can Learn from Google Analytics

Interesting,  Since I never used Google Analytics. I was currently surprised that it is tracking my information from the blog,... which is kinda cool! The features that would be more beneficial to me would be the Home, which has the basics of How many users were on the page, New users,, Event count, and the average engagement time.  For me that would help me indicate if my webpage or sites are being viewed.   The Users in the last 30 minutes wouldn't use it.  The Data Stream would be great to use when I start making clips, Instagram reels, or even short video instructions or marketing advertisements.
Right now the users would only be in the United States. However, it would be great to know where in the united states, since my business would be online and VR customer service training.  The Views by page would totally be used.  This way I can see which pages or Social media sites are getting the most traffic and adjust them accordingly.

Week 14: B Social Media Management Tools

I went to check out some of my classmate's blogs on how they felt about Social Media Management tools.

Tawnib https://csit155-sp23-tawnib.blogspot.com/ I Felt that Hootsuite earned the highest ranking. They also agree that Hootsuite does have analytics, and tracking tools and allows the subscriber to engage in real-time.  I too agree.  I remember using Hootsuite a while back before it had the extra added components.  Tawnib also researched that all the management tools had subscriptions, which allow for publishing, and scheduling posts.  ( I did comment however not sure if it has to approve it)

https://csit155-sp23-cdelatorre.blogspot.com/ I Felt that Social Media management tools are best spent depending on the business need.

Thoughts were that paid of course would be hiring professionals over free would for the smaller company who would be more suitable.  I totally agree.  I believe has to do with just budgeting per month what would be beneficial for the business.

Week 14: A Social Media Management Tools

Social Media Management Tool Part A

The Social media management tool that I would use would be Hootsuite. Funny before social media became so big, I loved using this tool.  At the time I could manage Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on what platform.  Whatever I post would upload to all the sites. At the time it was free and if you wanted to add more than media profiles, it was like $9.99 a month.  Now I see it is $99/month that is just the professional version.  Now Hootsuite comes with analytics and social media tracking. This gives one an Ideal how many people visit the social page, did they like, or follow it, and even how many people unfollowed or unsubscribed. This becomes more in-depth when posting. This gives a better idea of what people liked. This can help in posting more of the same content and being more creative.

The Business price for this is $739.00/month. For a small business on a tight budget that is really over the top.  Zoho Social is new to me, however, they do have very decent prices and packages.  The enterprise package is $50 and the ultimate is $65, each per month.  I believe once my business grew  I would use Social media management software, just not right now.
