Week 13 Part A: Online Advertising - Analysis of the Marketplace

On Facebook one of the sponsored advertisements came up, which was for Entrepreneur, the ad says
Marc Randolph will answer questions sent in by you, the viewers, about growing your business! Submit your questions below. There is a photo slide in a block of Marc it says Join Us for And it asked a question if you could ask the co-founder of Netflix for Business Advice
Ask Marc with the slide that says Streaming Live on Facebook, the day and time
It caught my eye because I did a blog or report on Netflix.  Plus wanted to be an Entrepreneur, so it would be great to ask questions to the co-founder of Netflix. This does not feel intrusive., but very helpful

A Very simple ad on Entrepreneur Facebook.
It says Brands are holding advertisers more accountable to their budgets and results than ever before. Avoid these five mistakes with OOH advertising campaigns.
http://entm.ag/96oHj5 It has a picture of 3 people working at a table looking intense n the strategy.
Then in the ad a text that reads '5 Expensive Mistakes to Avoid With Out-of-Home Advertising. This does not feel intrusive but very helpful, it makes you want to click the link and find out what one is doing incorrectly in advertising a business. I also get that this is for start-up companies.

Week 13 Part B: Developing Online Advertising

This is the business add format setup.  This one may not be effective, because it is very plain. However, it's a reminder of my logo.

This one exemplifies Team building and Leadership. What is team building and how it can be effective in Customer Service teams.

This one is showing a class of customer service training.  This will get people asking questions about what type of training is being offered.

Week 12 Part A: Using Business Specific Online Tools

I would totally use Special online tools the first would be Social media Networking for Professionals. I would use it more so, to put the business out there for other professionals such as small businesses for Employment agencies and Job seekers looking to gain more experience. My first choice will be Linkedin.  One reason is I have several connections personally with other professionals from my past employers. They would be my referrals.

Google My Business would be next and a lot of the Google tools, One being google maps.  When creating a website and adding the location, it makes it so convenient to add google maps so clients can find out where the business is located.  Also, I Google Ad, to get started with boosting my brand and of course using bloggers. This is to help with more insight into the business but also personable to the client.  I would also use Youtube for tutorials and video staging, set up clips, of the training, personal testimonies, and building a base of followers, and then be able to share the links with Facebook or through email of my company.

Wk11B - What Others Found out About some Different Social/Online Tools

Leave a comment, then write a post about what you comment and what they found in their research. Was it similar or different than what you found? Watch the assignment video and check out the actual assignment in the module for this week.

I went to https://csit155-sp23-mag.blogspot.com/2023/04/week-7-part-b-how-other-businesses-use.html#comment-form

The research was on Instagram and reels. I totally agree with them that Instagram is very good as a promotional tool .  People are so creative now. I believe they said a great tool to promote a TV Commerical.   My thought is who knew we could come this far in technology.

Week 11 Part A: Marketing with Twitter, TikTok, Google for Business, LinkedIn, AI and more

What I wanted to do is research a bit about marketing for Twitter, Tik Tok, Google for Business, and LinkedIn, about Social Influencers or AI. Funny thing.  I canceled my Twitter account over a month ago after Elon Musk took it over.  I don't have a Tik Tok or Google for business.  I do have LinkedIn which I don't use as much as I should.  The closet to A. It is VR (virtual reality).
I had been on Twitter for over 10 years.  It was fun in the beginning.  Many Businesses were advertising from entertainment to sports and corporations.  It was great to get an in-depth look at their world and thoughts. What I liked about Twitter is the hashtags.  What every topic you were searching it was found with a complete list of Twitter accounts.  Twitter was also very good at moderating comments, and posts.  You could report nudity without w/explicit pornography and the pages would get shut down. I tried to close several sexually explicit (having sex) Twitter accounts close. Twitter said it did not violate any rules. (However) it was women. Only one was canceled but it had men frontal and having sex.  So, I guess it's okay for women to be exploited.  It's the same thing with Instagram.  Twitter has become so much more political that even celebrities are slowly walking away.  The truth was when politicians exploited Twitter, it changed the dynamics.
Twitter is very easy to manage and operate.  One does have to learn how to block a lot of people. There are a lot of people from different parts of the world who follow everyone.  I remember having almost 500 followers from India. (who did have beautiful content) however, it's like each one had 500 friends who would like or follow.  Twitter still is a great place to market and brand a business and a better transition to speak with individuals or connect with other businesses and future clients.  Twitter is just not my thing but it may actually be right for someone else.

Oy vey, I had to go back into this Twitter account again... I looked up Customer service training.  quite a few businesses used words like Customer Service Training Certification and then a few hashtags.  https://twitter.com/CSIA_Institute.  This one wasn't too bad.  I like the picture on one of the posts of a team and a high-five sitting at a conference desk.  Then the second post was a testimonial by one of the clients who graduated.  They were showing credibility to their company. Not a lot of people like the post but they do have 534 followers. They also post every other day. |

Another company on Twitter that caught my attention right away was https://twitter.com/Dynamics365_NG, their current post which was today had a great video collage with moving pictures that had a thread of  Got questions, pictures of the team, and a short bio of what each member's titles are and what they do.  They had 64 likes, 65 shares, and 1612 views.  They only have 264 followers but because of their different content, get shares, likes, and tons of views.

Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

What I had not thought about was email marketing or newsletters, especially for my business.  There are so many that I received, I kinda felt they were a nuisance. The most frustrating part was trying to find a link to remove from the mailer when you couldn't remember when your name was added to the list. My business which is customer service does not need a newsletter.  At least not until it's fully established and my business retains licenses of products and a clientele list of people.

If I decided to draft a newsletter, it would have how clients have benefited from my service. A little bit about the service and who I am. What was the concept behind my company "Inside the Circle CS Specialist".  I would send it out monthly for the first six months and if the business has grown I would test out every two weeks for the other six months. As the company grows so will the newsletters because hopefully there will be a lot more concepts to add to it.

Week 9 Part B: Using Categories

Thinking about your blog/vlog that I would create.  I would use categories such as  Online training,  Local Business, and Information/Training.  By using Online training it represents that training would be online, and there is a possible client who does not have to go into an office. Local business means that I am in the area of North County San Diego. It would be an easy drive if the client had in-office training. All these would get attention and possible online questions are direct calls on what type of business is this and if there is customer service certification available?

Week 9: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts & Webinars, Adding Categories

After looking at my Instagram, I started thinking about what type of personal touch will be needed to get more views, likes, and followers.  Since my business is customer service oriented and will move into Virtual Reality as part of my training.  It may be beneficial to start video blogging. When I am on my Oculus go to my VR world and connect to my work desk. Recording what I can teach multiple people with or without the VR headset.  A Podcast and Webinar are not important at this time.  However, once the business grows then Webinars can be created for training sessions.

Vlogging would help my business because most people are more into Videos.  Tik Toc and Instagram reels get so many views, likes, and shares.  I've noticed that businesses, Churches, and even Celebrities are advertising and have now added special subscriptions for a price, where those with subscriptions will see videos, and live feeds, or be able to connect with them with this subscription. For a business, not only will I have to be professional but also personable.

Truthfully social media is the only way to advertise and market, especially for a smaller business on very little capital. At least for a small price on Facebook and Instagram, you can pay for the ads you want to push and may get views or even follows.  The idea is to get the business out there, making sure to be consistent with posting.

Week 17 Wrapping up

This has been a great experience to retake the class again.  I am very happy that I did.  I learned a lot more about social media and its ...
